February 1, 2011, The Rev. Dr. Ellen Francis Poisson, OSH was appointed Priest-in-Charge of All Saints Church. She is also a member of the Order of Saint
Helena, and has been living in Augusta GA since 2008. Previously, she
served as Interim Rector of Saint Augustine's Episcopal Church in Augusta.
Before 2008, she lived in New York and served many parishes there as part-time interim and supply priest. She traveled to Iran and Afghanistan on several peace missions following 9/11/01, and has given talks and written articles about these trips. Besides her interest in Middle East peace, she is also an advocate for renewable resources and protection of the environment.
She received an M.Div. from General Theological Seminary and was ordained to the priesthood in 2000. Before ordination and before entering the Order of Saint Helena, she was a medical librarian. Her doctorate is in Library Science.
